Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss.
On land, life is magnificent. More than 80% of all land-based species reside in our forests, and thanks to our unique ecosystems, we can all breathe, feed, and survive. However, we are steadily destroying our planet and all of its life through deforestation, global warming, and the production of meat. It’s important to remember that we can fix things before further panic. Working together to preserve, restore, and promote the animals, plants, and insects that make up our planet is the main focus of SDG15. We can sustainably manage forests, reduce biodiversity loss, fight desertification, and reverse land degradation by concentrating on the improvements we can make now to benefit our future.
