About Green Talks

Green Talks, a nonprofit open platform, unites the global network of social enterprises that are bringing about broad transformation in a range of sectors to accelerate progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It has been designed as a space for open-source innovation, a forum for unrestricted discussion, and an incubator for concepts that could lead to long-lasting societal change.

About Us

In our daily lives, we encounter severe societal issues and difficulties including poverty, starvation, homelessness, climate change, inequality, poor health, drought, unsanitary conditions, and illiteracy, to name just a few. We require solutions—realistic, long-term solutions—to the enormous socioeconomic issues. Green Talks is a component of that solution that aims to bring stories (read: solutions) of sparking change of impact makers who began with a nugget of an idea that drastically altered the lives of many people. The annual Green Talks event honours five of these social entrepreneurs that work to address social issues while putting commercial principles second.

Rewind a decade, philanthropy models focused on donations, charity, and help had their limitations when it came to tackling social causes. In a world buffeted by change, faced daily with new threats to survival, the only way to conserve is by innovating and Green Talks is one such innovation. By identifying mission-driven enterprises and assisting them in growing, which ultimately allows them to reach out to more people and leave a lasting and beneficial impression on the entire globe, it is an innovation to ensure sustainability to spread kindness.

To foster, develop, and spread social change!

We strongly believe in the entrepreneur's ability to harness technology, design, and business innovation in the service of social good. As a result, we are working to highlight the extraordinary efforts and advancements made by the many dedicated, passionate individuals working to create a more equitable and sustainable society around the world. We want to help social enterprises flourish by giving them the tools they need, expand social entrepreneurship on a national and international level, and speak out for social impact that is more long-lasting.

A world where no one sleeps hungry, the oceans are free of trash, everyone has equal access to healthcare, mental illness is no longer stigmatized and young people's voices are heard. In a nutshell, we want to be an active part to help achieve the 17 SDGs and aid to build more social businesses on Earth to make the world a better place.
In order to realize our goal of a future founded on dignity and equal opportunity for all people, we must work together to foster social innovation and collaboration. Green Talks' goal is to invest in social entrepreneurs and change-makers so that they can succeed and bring about broad-based, transformative social change. We want to realize the India of our dreams and serve as a role model for the rest of the globe. Until then, we are unstoppable.

Through its platform, the community-focused Green Talks hopes to mobilise millions of young people to make a difference across the world. Its mission is to inspire, empower, and celebrate a generation of doers. It serves as a forum for those making a difference to showcase their business model and the social change, they have sparked to increase visibility, improve collaboration, and maximize social impact.
