Problem

The Indian farmers, especially in South India, who used sprayers (artificial), reported higher rates of excessive perspiration (36.5%), burning/stinging/itching eyes (35.7%), dry/sore throat (25.5%), and excessive salivation (14.1%). Increased perspiration and eye and throat problems were all significantly related to exposure to artificial chemicals in farmers.

Social Impact

• Vise Organic is making new, functional, and affordable products for the farmers of India. Their effective products make it easy for the farmers to accept them. In 2017, the National Award for Social Innovation went to Vise Organic.
• Vise Organic Innovation Solution Enterprise Pvt Ltd is currently active at the IIC of Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University in Gandhinagar. Startup India and Startup Gujarat have recognised it. It has received funding from the Royal Academy of Engineering in London and the CIIE Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad. 
• They have developed MyLab, an advanced media kit (Do It Yourself), to produce bacteria that help develop biofertilizers and biopesticides.
