We must feed the world’s population by improving food security, nutrition, and sustainable agriculture.
There is enough food produced worldwide to feed everyone on the planet. Yet around 10% of the world’s population—up to 800 million people usually go to bed hungry. Lest we forget, obesity is growing. So, we know ending hunger isn’t about supply. Access and availability are the issues, and both are hampered by things like bad weather, food waste, and—worst of all—conflict. Hunger and malnutrition make one less productive, more susceptible to illness, and less able to improve their living conditions.
The greatest issue of our time is ending hunger, but we can overcome it if we work together—by enhancing food security, nutrition, and sustainable agriculture, no one should sleep hungry to wake up to hunger again.
