Promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.
Extreme poverty among workers has drastically decreased over the past 25 years. But while the world economy keeps improving, we are witnessing slower growth, greater disparities, and employment that is not growing quickly enough to keep up with the expanding labour force.
Through increased productivity and technological innovation, the Global Goals seek to promote sustained economic growth. Effective strategies to end forced labour, slavery, and human trafficking are essential for this, as are policies that support entrepreneurship and job development. By 2030, the goal is to attain full and productive employment for all women and men, as well as decent work, as more people in decent jobs lead to stronger and more inclusive communities.
