Launch of the Green X Talks

Another highlight of the Green Talks 2022, that focused on climate change this year, was the launch of the Green X Talks. This phase comprised of real-life stories of grit and determination from people who not only gained control over their lives despite physical challenges but made a mark for themselves in the world.

Their success is defined not just by their superlative achievements but by their indomitable spirit that guided them towards their goals and became an inspiration for millions.

Walk the talk

The talk by these two distinct champions was beyond inspiration. It was a live workshop in learning, understanding, and applying a number of self-determination skills, such as goal setting, understanding their abilities and disabilities, problem solving, and self-advocacy. Walking the talk were 30+ odd people with disabilities who have been hired by the Group in various business units who are filling gaps to create a diverse and inclusive workplace.

One of the Adani Group employees, Chandrakant Vaze, who was born without his left arm, was gifted a prosthetic limb by the Adani Group – which was custom-designed by one of the last year’s Green Talks winners, Robo Bionics.

Kiran Kanojia

Kiran Kanojia is India's first Specially abled woman blade runner in India. Her story of courage and determination is truly moving. Kiran's amazing journey of self-motivation and her determination to overcome any obstacle that stands in her way is inspiring. Despite facing challenges and adversity, Kiran has not let anything hold her back. She has proven that anything is possible with enough grit and passion.

Arunima Sinha

Arunima Sinha is an inspiration and a true role model. Despite losing one leg in an accident, she has achieved the impossible dream of climbing seven challenging mountain peaks! She's the world's first disabled woman to scale Mount Everest, Mount Kilimanjaro (Tanzania), Mount Elbrus (Russia), Mount Kosciuszko (Australia), Mount Aconcagua (South America), Mount Denali (North America), and Mount Vinson (Antarctica). She is also a seven-time Indian volleyball player.
