Solution

Trestle Labs, established in 2017, is an Assistive Technology company that enables blind and visually-impaired individuals to access any material - printed, handwritten, or digital - anyplace. To help individuals with low vision or other visual impairments, Trestle Labs provides solutions for listening, translating, digitising, and audio'tizeTM information in 60 worldwide languages, including Malay and 13 other Indian languages.

To collaborate with schools, colleges, universities, non-governmental organisations, libraries, and companies to improve their accessibility to blind and visually impaired workers and students.

Some of the solutions that Trestle Labs offers are as follows:

1. Kibo Mobile App It provides audio-based accessibility to any printable, handwritten, and digital literature in over 60 languages with compatibility for 12 file formats (images, documents, and audio) and access to a collection of over 1 million accessible ebooks.

2. Kibo XS Device It is a device resembling a table lamp for scanning and listening to printed and handwritten materials (across 60 languages). You can translate (into more than 100 languages), digitise (as doc, docx, txt), save to Kibo cloud (for multi-device accessibility), and download the content in audio format (MP3).

3. Kibo Desk Web Software Kibo Desk performs the same functions as the Kibo XS Device for digital documents, such as photographs and scanned image-based PDFs.
